Tuesday Tidbit – Winter Driving Tips and Emergency Kits outtaspaceorganizing.comSome of us live in parts of the world that experience the four-seasons. Our driving habits and car safety measures must adjust when the snow and cold arrive. However, having an emergency kit is something we all need no matter where we live.

Below are two helpful links that will provide you with lots of great information. Sometimes you just can’t “recreate the wheel” and links serve us best.

Tuesday Tidbit – Expressing Gratitude

As we pause this week to enjoy time with family and friends and celebrate Thanksgiving, I wanted to share several quotes with you.

These quotes shine a light on the power and importance of being thankful and grateful in our daily life and not just on one day out of the year.

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” – Willie Nelson

“We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.” – John F. Kennedy

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” – William Arthur Ward

Thanksgiving Blessings from our home to yours.

Tuesday Tidbit – Take Your Family Shopping…At Home!

Sometimes – especially if no one else “sees” the clutter – you get tired of asking, yelling, and reminding, and just do it yourself.

Here is another idea.

On an as-needed basis (listen to your heart and stress level), set up a “Buy-It-Back Store” and collect all the items that are cluttering the floor, tables, furniture, counters, etc. You know, the ones that drive you crazy.

It’s best to focus on the common areas first, instead of including bedrooms, to ease others into this new strategy. For your family, maybe the bedrooms will need to come later.

Your family must “pay” to retrieve their items. Payment might be chores, cash, or good deeds. Customize it to their age and be creative.

Of course, it is also best to give your family a day or two of notice before the “Buy-It-Back Store” opens, which gives you time to find homes for your own items!

Tuesday Tidbit – Do Organizing and Creativity Mix?

Tuesday Tidbit - Do Organizing and Creativity Mix? outtaspaceorganizing.com

If you are a creative being, the right side of your brain may be more cultivated/active than the left side. Regardless of which side bolsters your own special creativity, you still need focus and clarity.

Let’s just admit that there are piles and distractions in your environment and they do NOT add to your creative mojo. Instead, they steal your energy and focus.

Clutter crushes creativity. Once you admit this and take the time to clear your workspace or home of excess stuff, which then clears your mind, you are more likely to tap into your brilliance.

It’s time to take the time to just get it done and stop squandering your precious energy “trying” to ignore the piles. You already know that this just does not work.

I can help. Let’s simply start the conversation. Either call or email me to find out how we can release the creative genius strapped in clutter.
